The Foodose iPhone app offers optional paid access through an auto-renewing subscription managed by Apple. These terms apply in addition to our Terms of Use and Apple's standard App Store billing rules.
Nothing on the foodose.co website costs anything. The calculator, the meal plans, the PDF, the recipes and the research library are free, with no account.
1. What stays free in the app
Downloading and using the app is free. Without a subscription you can still:
- Log food, water, weight, dose, injection site, symptoms and, if you use them, cycle features
- See your targets, your day and your history
- Ask the coach 3 questions a day
2. What the subscription adds
- The daily plan: a day of meals built around your protein floor and calorie target
- More coaching: a far higher daily message allowance
- New features as they ship
3. Price
The price, the billing period and any trial terms are shown on the purchase screen inside the app, in your own currency, before you confirm. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
We deliberately keep prices off this website so the App Store stays the single source of truth.
4. Free trial
New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial. Its length is shown in the App Store before you confirm. You are not charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, the subscription begins and your Apple ID is charged for the first period.
Eligibility is determined by Apple, and is normally one trial per Apple ID per subscription group.
5. Auto-renewal
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price. Apple charges your Apple ID within 24 hours before each period ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that point.
If the price changes, Apple notifies you and gives you the chance to accept it or cancel. If you do nothing, the new price applies at your next renewal.
6. How to cancel
You cancel through Apple, not inside Foodose. On your iPhone or iPad:
- Open the Settings app
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Tap Foodose
- Tap Cancel Subscription
Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the free tier in section 1 continues after that.
You can also cancel from the App Store on a Mac, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
7. Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own refund policy. We are not the merchant and cannot process one for you.
To ask for a refund:
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, or
- On iPhone: Settings, your name, Media & Purchases, View Account, Purchase History, Report a Problem
Apple makes the final decision. Statutory rights, such as the EU 14 day right of withdrawal, apply where they apply.
8. The subscription belongs to an Apple ID
A subscription is tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Changing Apple ID does not move it. Family Sharing is not enabled; if that changes, this page changes with it.
9. Deleting the app is not cancelling
Removing Foodose from your phone does not cancel a subscription, and cancelling a subscription does not delete your data. They are separate, deliberate acts. Data deletion is Delete All My Data inside the app, described in the privacy policy.
10. Changes to this document
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing a paid subscription after that date means accepting them.
