Zepbound is the weight-management version of tirzepatide. Same molecule as Mounjaro, indicated for weight rather than diabetes. The SURMOUNT trial program established the magnitude, average weight loss of around 20 percent at the highest dose over 72 weeks, the strongest number in the class so far.

Zepbound is tirzepatide, on the same six-dose ladder as Mounjaro, and the calculator carries the same appetite factor for each step. The same contraception note applies, because it is the same molecule: four weeks of barrier protection after starting and after every dose increase, since tirzepatide can reduce oral contraceptive absorption.

The rate of loss on Zepbound at the highest dose can outrun the body's other systems if you let it. The calculator caps the pace you can ask for and shows the weekly loss your target actually implies, which is usually gentler than people expect and is the point. Sustained loss above about 1 percent of body weight a week is worth raising with your prescriber. Faster is not better.
